Our Egg Plant

We have a variety of chicken breeds on the farm. Mostly Araucana. They produce a lovely array of pastel colored eggs. Very unique. We also have Sapphire Jems, Buff Orpingtons, and Oliver Eggers to name just a few. All our eggs are fresh from the chickens and whether they’re pastel on the outside or a rich brown, they are deeply golden on the inside—nothing is better than a fresh egg!

Duck Divas Coming to Paradise

We love ducks and especially the Khaki Campbell. Our flock has dwindled but we are bringing them back, so stayed tuned! This breed of duck was introduced in America in the early 1900’s and is a cross between the Mallard, Rouen and Runner ducks. They are Khaki in color and their egg production is outstanding! Campbells are a very gentle, passive and friendly breed which makes them a nice breed for young families and children to raise. Duck eggs contain more protein, more vitamins, minerals and lots of Omega-3’s. Also Duck eggs contain more albumen, which gives them more structure, thus creating very light, fluffy, and rich baked goods with a higher lift than those made with chicken eggs. So all you bakers out there it’s time to try some duck eggs and wow your family and friends!!

Our Herds & Flocks

At Paradise Cay Plantation we enjoy raising animals and growing vegetables, herbs, and flowers that honor us with their bounty of passive foodstuffs and products—honey, eggs, milk, fiber, veggies, and herbs. The animals also provide companionship and help keep the farm environment healthy. As a bonus, their comical antics are sure to bring a smile and always make it fun for visitors.

We sell eggs locally and once our new herd of baby goats is ready to breed, we will dive into milk, cheese, butter, soaps and lotion production. If you would like to learn more about our herds and flocks, just click on the box below and send us a note.

If you would like to stay abreast of all our farm happenings, please subscribe to our periodic mailings at the bottom of this page.

Sweet for the Sweet

In Paradise we have a variety of goat breeds—Nigerian Dwarf, Saanen, Nubian, and Snubian. They have wonderful personalities and provide great milk. If you are interested in having goats, we are happy to share our experiences with you. Come and see just how friendly goats are. You may just want a few for yourself!

Born of the desert wind…

The Egyptian Arabian horse. On the merciless terrain of the Arabian Desert, he was bred for strength, bred to last. Loyal in battle, he was a prized warhorse. Blessed with affection of women and children in the black tents of Bedouin families, he was ever kind and loving.

King-maker of the East, the Arabian horse altered human history and reshaped the face of the world. Harnessing horse to chariot, the Pharaohs of the Nile Valley dazzled a world far beyond their own borders.

On seal rings and stone pillars; in tombs and temples… from Egyptian hieroglyphics to sacred scriptures… history bears witness to his majesty and strength. Thou shallst fly without wings and conquer without swords, quotes the noble Qur’an. The Egyptian Arabian horse is a legendary animal, in all its beauty - so lovely and wonderful that he fascinates young and old alike...and we are blessed to have this great breed as part of our herd.
